My name is Steve Grogan, and I am a geek! Therefore, it should come as no surprise that I am the owner and operator of a YouTube channel called Geek Wing Chun. The purpose of the channel is to help people find ways to improve their skills in the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu even when they can't make it to class for whatever reason (time, money, COVID shutdown, etc.). I've been practicing Wing Chun Kung Fu since 1995. I've met a lot of different people over the years, but it seems like they've all had the same or similar issues when it comes to training: "I can't make it to class much. I can't get together with classmates outside of school. When I DO go, everyone else is a beginner," and so on. The purpose of Geek Wing Chun is to help them overcome these obstacles. I give training tips and ideas they can do either solo or with a partner, even if that person doesn't practice Wing Chun (or ANY martial art, for that matter). I even give training drills on how they can improve their Chi Sao (which is a HUGE part of Wing Chun training) even if their partner has no idea what Chi Sao is!
