Jonathan Ferreira

Jonathan is a creative, and the creator of the award-winning website [link-omitted] (this one). Originally from the Eastern Cape in South Africa, now based in Dublin, he shares his love of photography in images of subject matter spanning genres from documentary, music, performances, and landscapes, to architecture, portraiture, as well as a few photos of Kimchi and Soso (the sphynx cats). Through his images; portraying an unassuming, intimate, and playful perspective of his subjects – his ability to find the quirky, and interesting in unusual places, combined with a keen eye for detail, sets him apart.

He's spent most of his career capturing the debauchery of festivals, clubs, and musicians, since moving to Cape Town; he incorporated more diverse subjects such as architecture, food, and landscape into his portfolio of portraits, and documentary images. He believes that the diverse nature of South Africa, and its cultures – especially Cape Town – offers any creative a broad, and colourful palette to work with.

Some of the highlights of his career include road manager for PHFAT, assisting/directing/managing teams for content creation with brands including Red Bull, Puma, and Woolworths, community manager for @redbullza, official photographer for the Mumford and Sons: Gentlemen of the Road Tour in Cape Town, South Africa, working as the official Red Bull Studios content creator, being part of the Red Bull Photography Academy in Cape Town, working with amazing musicians, and mediums, as well as being awarded the top photography blog in Africa by Webfluential.

His clients have included (but are not limited to): Red Bull, Puma, ASICS, Mobile Media Mob, Woolworths, Big Concerts, Live Nation, Grant Hinds, Fokofpolisiekar, Francois Van Coke, Raptor Room, State Bicycle Company, and Baked Ink…

He enjoys taking the time to travel, explore, and get lost in the fynbos, as well as being an avid gamer with a huge sock collection.
