This is me - Daisi Jo - beauty queen, model, content creator and insider.
I’ve been an international beauty and model for over 20 years. I’ve continuously worked with brilliant brands around the world. In 2005 I began representing Jamaica in international competitions around the world. I competed in the Miss Asia Pacific International competition in China, Miss Earth in the Philippines, Miss International in Japan and Miss Beauty Queen World in Malaysia. I also represented Israel at Miss Asia USA.
I started modeling as a teenager in Connecticut, when my grandmother took me into an agency Open Call for their kids division. From that point on I was hooked and loved taking the train into the city to go on castings, shoots, getting dressed and playing in makeup. When I was 18 I put off college to move to New York City to model full-time. Past and present work includes Gap, Old Navy, Pond’s, Macy’s, NYFW, Laurie Elyse Couture and many more.
I have a Bachelor’s in Business and a Master’s in Leadership and Management. I was a New Yorker for many years and now I spend most of my time in Downtown Los Angeles. I really love cosmetics and skincare and have an equal affinity for the blogging process but most of all, I love sharing what I discover with my readers and viewers. I’m often given product samples as an organic part of being a beauty and fashion influencer. If I’m to paid to post ( a ‘sponsored post’), it will be clearly marked as an “AD”.
