By training, I am an instrumental music teacher. I have six years of experience working with students ages 10–18 in public schools. My primary instrument is trombone, but I also enjoy playing guitar and bass guitar. I would be interested in reviewing instruments, music accessories, books, and other music materials, particularly in the area of wind band. I am also an active outdoorsman. My wife and I get out hiking and biking as often as we can, and we have made good hiking trails and good craft beer our primary criteria for our travel destinations. I would be interested in reviewing backpacks, boots, books, poles, camping gear, or other outdoor equipment. I have been an active blogger and writer since 2013, most recently with my travel and outdoors blog Five Suitcases. In December 2014, I published "The Frugal Guide: Dublin," a free eBook highlighting the best (and cheapest) entertainment and activities in Dublin, Ireland, where I lived for three years before moving to Colorado. In my spare time, I enjoy playing and watching retro video games. I maintain a YouTube channel of Let's Play videos and a Twitch channel with occasional live video game streams. I would be interested in trying and reviewing games and gaming equipment, particularly video capture and streaming setups.
