I'm an avid horseman. I currently own two off-the-track-Thoroughbred horses, one of which is my main competition horse and the other is a young horse that I'm training to be an Eventer (dressage, cross-country over fences, show jumping) or a Hunter or Jumper horse. I have developed a bit of a following in this area with my Facebook page. I'm also an avid runner. I've run 24 marathons including 5 Boston Marathons. My claim to fame is that if you search for 'crashing at the end of the Boston Marathon' in Google, my video is the top result! With all that horsey stuff and running, you'd think that one of those sports would be my favourite. But they're not. My big love is hockey, which I think is the best team sport in the world, bar none. While my prospects for making the NHL were essentially quashed the day I was born (zero natural talent), I still play regularly (in non-COVID years). My day job is running a company that does Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and we're very good at it. But related to that is the fact that I've been an entrepreneur since I was about 14 years old, and I regularly help out with the Entrepreneurship program at the Ivey Business School at the Western University in London Ontario. To top it all off, my daughter Tori and I ride our horses around the track at Western University every time the Western Mustangs football team scores a touchdown!
