Brian Hlongwane attained a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management and a Bachelor of Commerce Honors in Business Management respectively from the University of the Free State in South Africa. He is a Business & Growth Coach; Community & Youth Educator; Life Mentor; Mental Health & Social Activist; and Peace Ambassador & Public Speaker. He is deeply passionate about community and youth development and empowerment with a keen interest and focus on education, entrepreneurship, gender equality, and women empowerment leading with topics such as mental health and gender based violence. Moreover, he has played a fundamental role in educating the youth on numerous good financial practices and raising awareness on corruption and its effects through social media campaigns; and also uses his know-how in non-violent forms of protest and persuasion and social activism to positively influence conflict resolution while advocating against gender and human rights abuses in his country and region. Brian works in partnership with multiple independent psychologists; the Department of Social Welfare; and rehabilitation centers to provide diagnosis, treatment, and counselling services for mental and behavioral disorders such as substance abuse and depression.
