As I hinted during our funding blog post, there’s some more exciting stuff to talk about today. This post has been in draft mode for a few days because I wasn’t quite sure when we’d be able to fully announce the partnership, but we are oh-so-ready.
The Intellifluence influencer marketing affiliate program is a go. You can read a bit more about it on our press release. We teamed up with Robert Adler of Offer Stream Digital and are excited to push this channel hard.
For those of you that don’t know me, I’ve been involved in the affiliate marketing space for 20 years now and with my team have created several affiliate programs from scratch, which means I’ve had plenty of time to make lots of mistakes and learn from those mistakes. The result of this is a program that will deliver immediate value to everyone in our ecosystem, without the usual hiccups that sometimes happen with new affiliate promotions.
Affiliates — you’ll be getting a % of recurring revenue of brands you bring into the system, for the first year that a brand is a subscriber in our network. Rather than earning a quick CPA, we are incentivizing you to bring on brands that are going to stick it out with us and grow. I like rewarding quality. I also like rewarding network growth. You read that right; you’re also going to earn a different % of recurring revenue for the brands that join our system due to the other affiliate partners you bring into the fold. We aren’t going the MLM route, but definitely want to make sure that early adopters see the most upside, so referral commissions will be active.
Influencers — more brands, especially quality brands, means more available review opportunities are going to be coming your way. Influencer happiness is important to us, and we hope this will go a long way to moving that in the right direction. Oh, and every influencer in our network is eligible to join the program, which leads me to a question: are you the type of person that likes putting a chip in a bowl of delicious nacho cheese, takes a bite, and then slips the chip back in when no one is looking?
Well then, you’ll like double-dipping with us. Not only can you make money like you normally could by being compensated for your influence, but now you can be paid for bringing the brands into the network as well…and this kind of double-dipping won’t get you called for a party foul.
Brands — there’s about to be a whole lot more of you soon. This is actually a good thing just due to the economics and technicalities associated with platforms. Chickens and eggs, when both are on aggressive growth trends, result in more of each other. A bolus of brands yields a bolus of influencers and vice versa; we were already growing nicely on the influencer front, but this is going to help us grow even faster since the brand advertisements should double as branding and mind share for influencers.
