I’m Tom Drake and I’m the founder and writer behind MapleMoney, plus the Editor-in-Chief at Get Rich Slowly and Retire Happy. I'm a father to two amazing boys, living in Alberta, Canada.

With over two decades as a Financial Analyst, my background in budgeting and knowing the ins and outs of the grocery industry have helped me learn about how money works, and the financial changes I’ve been through have provided plenty for me to write about. I’ve had the pleasure of writing for financial publications in addition to starting a successful online business.

My writing has appeared in print in Money and Canadian MoneySaver. I’ve also been featured or quoted in The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Money Sense, Reader’s Digest, Candian Living, Inc., and Forbes.
