Shreyas is a second-year BS-MS (Dual Degree) student majoring in Physics at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research [IISER], Pune. He is also an INSPIRE DST Scholarship Fellow.
Currently working on 'Experimental High Energy Particle Physics' (EHEP) under Prof Sourabh Dube. He is doing a summer project on '2D Quantum Wells in semiconductors' under the internship 'Fundamentals of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics' by Prof Ashish Arora.
He is volunteering as a research and development associate at 14 Trees foundation because of his devotion to the environment.
Encouraged by the biographies of various scientists, He participates in multiple competitions & projects. A Gold medal at the Dr Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition gave him the recognition of a Young Scientist. For which, he ran awareness programs and created a survey-based analytical report of more than 5000 people.
He got selected for the Science Enrichment Camp at Dr Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mumbai.
He secured the Inspired Award Scholarship by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. And was selected for the district level Competition for his River Joining Project.
In 2016, After attempting for National Children's Science Congress for three consecutive years, his patience showed the results. He was awarded a Gold medal at 24th National Children's Science Congress for his 'Recycling of Thermocol' project, using the like dissolves like principle. Received the Student of The Year Award later on.
This exposure continues to inspire him for his further endeavours.
