Selena Buttery

I’m a senior at Chaminade University of Honolulu finishing my degree in Data Science, Analytics & Visualization with a minor in Criminal Justice. I’m also a dual-sport NCAA athlete (basketball and tennis), which has shaped a lot of who I am—disciplined, competitive, and always pushing myself to grow.

Outside of school and sports, I’m the president of SAAC and work in the Office of Student Engagement, where I help plan events that bring people together on campus. I also run a nonprofit, Project Grace for Kids, which focuses on creating free, meaningful events for kids and families in my hometown. Giving back and building community is a huge part of my life.

Professionally, I’ve worked on projects ranging from developing an app to teach kids about the UN Sustainable Development Goals to researching micro and nanoplastics through a collaborative internship with the Air Force and NSF. I’m especially interested in using data to solve real-world problems and make an impact.

I’m looking for opportunities to collaborate with brands or organizations that align with my lifestyle—fitness, community, travel, student life, and anything that promotes positivity and growth. I love sharing authentic experiences, whether that’s through content, events, or partnerships, and I’m always open to trying something new.
