I am a freelance travel writer and blogger, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a child, I often got lost in the pages of Enid Blyton's Faraway Tree series. I would excitedly discover and explore new and strange lands at the top of the Faraway Tree with the children in the book. Now, as an adult, I still love discovering and exploring exciting places around the world, albeit using more conventional travel methods.
I am passionate about travel and am prone to catching the travel bug every so often. Taking the road less traveled or hopping on a plan to somewhere usually helps when this happens. I am married to someone who shares my love of travel and am mum to two mini travelers. I have been to 47 countries thus far, and am always eager to add more to the count. New opportunities and excuses to travel are always welcomed.
I started traveling long before I started blogging so unfortunately I don’t have write-ups on all the places I’ve visited although I do have photos and memories of most.
I have been published in several prominent publications and on several prominent websites.
I have a Diploma in Blogging and Content Marketing, and a Diploma in Social Marketing, both passed with distinction. This is in addition to an Honours degree in Commerce. I am also a Certified South Africa Specialist.
My blog is about travel, events and experiences around the world. It aims to inspire others to travel and explore. I am interested in travel-related products , services and paid content.
