Samantha Suarez-Burgos

My name is Samantha, most people call me Sam. I am a current undergraduate senior majoring in Sport and Fitness Studies and minoring in entrepreneurship. I am very involved with several departments on campus like FIUStartUp, The Office of Research Development, the Athletics and Student Health Department, and Student Government Association. I formerly worked as the Secretary of Health and Wellbeing for FIU SGA MMC, and now I am currently the Chief of Staff for the Executive Branch and the Vice-Chairwoman of the Student Health Committee. I previously was working in the corporate medical sector as a Statewide Events and Outreach Director but was furloughed due to COVID-19. I worked in this position for a little bit over a year and was able to gain outstanding professional development and substantial network connections that allows me to further progress in the field.
