Omar Abusin

Alongside my strong academic focus, I am also an avid sportsman. Having captained football, basketball, badminton and tennis squads within the past 5 years, I have gained key skills alongside clear leadership. Leading teams through adversity (losing in final games yet still managing to come out victorious) has certainly enabled me to step up in key moments where it is most vital. All of which has encouraged me into becoming extremely interested in sports law and in the concept of acting as an agent/legal advisor for athletes. This has also made me more confident in showing my face in public and advertising certain products or services.
In 2016, I was faced with the daunting task of challenging against university students in the ‘Young Business Leader Competition’ in Abu Dhabi. Despite only being 14, I was able to come out victorious in a business competition centering around the concept of developing your own (hypothetical) product and presenting it convincingly to 4 business-guru judges and a crowd of over 300 people who would critique you after the presentation.
