Naomi Sowell

My name is Naomi Sowell!
I write to give a voice to the voiceless. My suspense/thrillers stories lights up the dark by using soulful storytelling and rich characters to explore the real-life slavery outside our windows. Having trained as a mentor/volunteer at a safe home for trafficking survivors, I am passionate about humanizing the stories and struggles of those on the inside and outside of the fight to end modern-day slavery.

After being in marketing, specializing in organic social media for eight years, I'm preparing to launch my first online coaching program called the Conscious Marketing System. My goal is to help individuals take back their time in marketing through healthy boundaries and habits. Think of it where lifestyle meets marketing.

And now, for the unprofessional section of this intro post :


I have four brothers and a twin sister, and we performed music professionally together for 13 years. I’ve been described as a happy Yelena. I’m a huge Marvel fan and have been known to nerd out over Star Wars, Hunger Games, Dune, LOTR, Narnia, and Divergent. Music, books, the great outdoors, dogs, mountains, the sky, sunrises, sunsets, a cityscape at night, all things Christmas, coffee, chocolate, adventure, travel, and a little bit of danger are all things I love and bring me joy. I am a writer. That is my core and the lens through which I view the world—stories. My family will always be my home, and I’m very protective. I used to think I was an extreme introvert, but the more safe people I’m found in my church community and online through Author and Bookstagram, the more I realize I’m an ambivert. I will match your energy. Not exactly what you give off, but how safe I feel with you. I’m a student at the amazing Author Conservatory. I cannot thank God enough for these incredible people! My goal is to write stories that resonate with people still figuring life out in their 20s. People who crave powerful fiction that doesn’t shy away from the brokenness of humanity while always shining the light of Hope. My passion is also spreading awareness about human trafficking.
