Myriam Blal

I'm from Geneva, but 12 years ago, I decided to move to the other side of the "Röstigraben". So after I finished my studies in Politics, I moved to Zurich to be closer to my swiss-german roots.
Cooking is like a common thread that has followed me since childhood. My father is a cook and has always been behind the stove, even at home. My mother is a passionate amateur pastry chef and my grandmother is the queen of Christmas biscuits. So cooking is a family affair for me! I grew up with a taste for good home cooking and family restaurants, so cooking has always been an integral part of my life, of my daily routine.
From 2014 to 2015, I traveled the world backpacking from India to Argentina going through South-East Asia, Australia and South-America. Since them, I'm addicted to discovering the world in the most ways possible and this time I want to do it without flying. My goal is to inspire people to think outside of the box and to try some alternative ways of traveling, eating and even living sometimes.
