His team was responsible for the architecture and administration of the entire IT infrastructure on campus including all servers and network storage, spanning four data centers in San Diego, California and Phoenix, Arizona as well as extensive Cloud infrastructure extending to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft AZURE & the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Prior to his work at USD, Mike owned an IT consulting company (BiG I, Inc.) with offices in San Diego, CA and San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico. During this time, Mike and his team provided high-speed wireless Internet to families living in 100% Solar powered communities. Mike continues to work in the Radio industry and is coming up on his 40th year in this exciting industry. He started as an on-air personality and then later became the Director of Engineering for several major (top 20) market radio stations and was known for his ability to provide stations with systems having an uptime of 99.99% or greater. The stations he helped manage generated more than $12M in revenue each month as a result of his leadership. In addition to his broadcast and IT work, Mike also has his own successful Coaching and Consulting firm, AMAZ!NG, LLC. Mike was a founding member and served as President of the Board of Directors for DELL/EMC VCE User Group and CONVERGED User Group as well as a Member of the Board for wildly successful start-ups including Zooplr.
