Megan O’Brien is a San Francisco Bay area native living the laid-back beach life in sunny Southern California. She's experienced in the art of fostering creativity and cultivating calm for high performing teams. As a former top-performing NCAA women’s college volleyball player and former creative director at eBay and Gap, she’s no stranger to high-stress environments with achievement-oriented individuals. And yet, it’s exactly those experiences which led her to study and develop yoga and meditation practices to access more calm and quiet as an antidote for the daily stressors of life. Since the pandemic started Meg has been inspired to help others tune-in to themselves to tune out the noise and stress of new life demands during COVID-19. With many people balancing full-time jobs with full-time parenting and schooling there is a greater need for connecting with ourselves to find presence and peace for others. “Mediation Meg”, as she’s known on Youtube, offers weekly guided mediations in a short and accessible format. "Meditation Meg" invites viewers along with her to the beach where ocean wave sounds create the perfect backdrop for dropping into nature - even virtually - to find an easy break from work in 10 minutes or less. Meg is an accredited healer and teacher having completed her 200 HR Mindful Vinyasa Teacher Training in Bali, Indonesia in 2019. A loyal student, she’s studied and absorbed various styles of yoga to complement her mediation- Iyengar, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative/Gentle forms. When she’s not meditating or directing creative photoshoots for clients in the Bay Area and beyond, she’s practicing yoga or finding her flow by swimming in various outdoor pools or cruising on her bike beside the beaches of Los Angeles' South Bay community.
