I started my fitness journey as a gym bunny, but it developed into a passion for endurance sport. After taking the plunge into triathlon in 2014, I’ve never looked back. Triathlon allows me to challenge myself, push my limits and get outside of my comfort zone. I’ve completed over 15 triathlons from sprint up to half-iron distance. My biggest achievement in sport is swimming the Solent from mainland England to the Isle of Wight.
Sport wasn’t always part of my life- in fact I hated physical activity at school. My journey began after I left university weighing 210lbs (95kg). Over the next few years, I lost almost 80lbs (36kg) through healthy eating and tried out a lot of different fitness activities until I found something I enjoyed.
