I am a busy mom of three children — 9-year-old twin boys and a 6-year-old girl — and the wife of a U.S. Army veteran. We live in a suburb of Washington, DC. I am an extremely active at my children's school. I shelve books at the school library once a week, read to my daughter kindergarten's class, chaperone field trips, and serve on the planning committee for the school's fun run. In fact, one of the kids' teachers recently joked that I should be on the payroll!
Though my work at the school is strictly on a volunteer basis, I DO get paid to do part-time public relations and social media work for Red Chair Press, a children's book publishing company. I am also the author of 14 children's books published by the company, with two additional books on the way.
When I'm not working or volunteering, I'm taking Pilates or strength-training classes at a local gym, watching movies or reality TV, reading books, and shopping. My family and I love to go out and enjoy our city together. We eat at restaurants often, attend local family events, visit museums, and cheer on the Washington Nationals. We also love to travel. My life revolves around my family, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
