Jim Maisano is the Director of the Westchester County Consumer Protection Department in 2018. Before accepting the Director position, Jim was elected to 11 terms on the Westchester County Board of Legislators representing District 11 (New Rochelle and Pelham). He held various leadership positions including Vice Chair and Minority Leader and was a strong proponent of independent and bipartisan government for 21 years. Jim has practiced law for more than 25 years. He currently concentrates his firm on real estate and wills and estates. During his career he worked at several prominent law firms in New York City practicing in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate and government relations. Jim served in the United States Marine Corps from 1984 to 1988 and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He runs a very successful Toys for Tots drive with the Marine Corps each holiday season. Jim earned his B.A. in history and political science from the City University of New York at Hunter College in 1989, and J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 1992. Jim, his wife jean, and son Mikey have enjoyed fostering abandoned dogs for Pet Rescue until permanent homes can be found for over a decade. Jim also coached in New Rochelle Little League and Youth Soccer of New Rochelle.
