Edwin Lyngar

In 2017, I quit my day job, opened a yoga studio, and started teaching English at the local community college. During the same time, I wrote and published several hundred of essays, columns, and op-eds in a collection of publications, including [link-omitted], CNN, and the Reno Gazette Journal--the last publication I spent three years as a biweekly columnist on politics and culture.

I lost 75 pounds in 2017-18 after quitting my traditional government job. I spent my time writing and doing yoga, losing a great deal of weight and seeking happiness outside America's agonizing work culture. In 2020, I opened a yoga studio in Reno Nevada called Mountain Pose Yoga.

I spend my free time with the reaminating children I have at home. I have two kids still at home, 12 and 14. I have two pugs, and a happy marriage to my wife of 15 years. I still freelance, and I am asked often to give speeches in our community. I was recently featured on a brand new television program Love Reno to highlight my growing business.

Pre pandemic, my wife and I traveled abroad at least bi-yearly. We own an RV and like to camp, fish and spend time outdoors. We are a well rounded family, love movies, anime, modern television and books.
