My Name is Charlotte and I’m 11 years old and I'm a Karate Athlete. Me and my 5 sisters started out this journey 2.5 years ago in hope’s of becoming Champions. I live in a rural area where Karate is non existent. No gym, no teacher, no knowledge of the sport. My first punching bag was a 80lbs bale of hay hanging from the barn rafters. My 1st teacher was watching YouTube videos and studying the movements with my sisters. My parents are not rich but they decided to drive us 13 hours to a real dojo to get evaluated after 6 months of us training. I was told that day "Get of the Mat, you have no knowledge of karate, no skills and if you ever win it will be by luck"! I can't explain the fire those words lit deep inside me. I began training even harder, when I was sore or tired I trained longer. There was no way i was going to win by luck Fast forward a little bit..... 2019 I was the First Karate Athlete to ever Make Sports Illustrated kids Magazine 2019 Ranked #1 in the country by the AJKL 2019 state Champion 2019 regional Champion 2019 international Champion 2019 USA Karate National Champion 2019 fighting record of 62-1 (everyone has a off day) My proudest moment was watching my little sister who I personally trained win a National Championship All together we left Nationals with 3 National Champions and one bronze finisher in are family. Hard work beats talent when talent won't work!! I train 3 hours a day, 6 days a week and I spend countless hours helping others achieve their goals and trying to inspire as many Athletes as I can. I'm the number one followed youth karate Athlete in America on Instagram. My followers are my friends and I truly care about them and try helping them. If I hear about a struggle in my followers I try to help find them a solution. Maybe they need tuition paid for a month at there karate school or maybe a new karate Gi. Together we always find a way. I love being in nature, hiking, rafting and camping. I love inspiring other kids to work hard for what they want. I'm now trying to figure out a way to raise enough money so I can fight internationally and continue to pursue my Goals. My goals are to make the 2021 USA JR. NATIONAL Team, Fight in the 2028 Olympics, be the 1st female USA Karate Coach, own a dojo and fitness center and to constantly help others.
