I'm 39, have a masters degree in marketing from a top ranked Indian institute. I have worked in retail marketing and services marketing for 7 years before giving it up 8 years back to build on my passion, photography. For the last 8 years I've successfully run and grown my own photography business ([link-omitted]). Have won a few awards for the same and garnered a fair bit of recognition too. Despite having no formal education in photography, i pride myself on being self taught enough that i am often invited as a speaker on the subject at various forums and also conduct my own workshops on photography.
My other avid, although recent interest is fitness. 2.5 years back through some grit, i decided to bring my out-of-control weight situation under control. Over the next 18 months I brought my weight down from 130 kgs to 80 kgs, losing 50 kgs in total. This weight loss journey of mine caught the attention of a national newspaper and they published a story on it. Then onward i started receiving frequent calls and emails from people seeking help with weight issues. I have since moved on from weight loss to strength training and lifting and have a keen interest in everything fitness related, including diets and healthy cooking / eating.
Lastly, my wife and myself are quite actively involved in social activities involving animal welfare. We are huge animal lovers and presently the self appointed guardians of close to 50 stray dogs in the vicinity of our home and workplace who we regularly feed and give medical attention as and when necessary. We frequently share photo stories to social media about the work we do with animals. This has caught the attention of many among our friends, extended social circles and non-profit organizations, who frequently help out with donations in kind and also often seek our opinions on related matters.
We love to travel and create travel stories through our photographs. But we cannot claim to have traveled a lot.
