Wajir Community Radio (90.9 fm) target is to empower the marginalized and vulnerable members of the pastoralist community who are mostly disadvantaged especially over print material due to their illiteracy. There are voiceless members in the society including indigenous pastoral men and women, people with disabilities, internally displaced persons and other disadvantaged minorities. The Radio envisages addressing the challenge of creating an effective communication channel to the voiceless members in the society as an alternative to print Media. Enhance communication and advocacy among the pastoral communities of the county. This would enable them share their development agendas. The radio covers 270km radius with a population of 370,000 people listenership.
