Tefera Metaferia, writing under the pen name Adam Sew Adam, is an educator, scholar, author, poet, and community-minded professional whose life and work bridge Ethiopia and the United States. He holds an EdD in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University, an MS in Managing Information Technology from Lindenwood University, an MS in Information Science from Addis Ababa University, and a BA in Political Science and International Relations. His academic and professional career has included teaching and leadership roles in higher education and secondary education, including service as an adjunct professor and as an educator working with young people. Beyond the classroom, Tefera is a passionate writer whose literary work reflects his enduring love for Ethiopia, humanity, nature, cultural heritage, peace, unity, and hope. He is the author of Nostalgic Blossoms, a collection of poetry, and is developing Poems of the Green Legacy, inspired by Ethiopia’s forests, mountains, rivers, lakes, wildlife, cultural traditions, and the profound relationship between people and nature. Through education, scholarship, poetry, and community engagement, he continues to advocate for knowledge, reconciliation, cultural understanding, environmental stewardship, and a more hopeful and united world.
