Born in York, PA from there moving to then to Rocky Mount, NC, 1994 is when became interested in becoming a rap artist. In 2000 he moved to California becoming, then, Tef Colion and signed to an independent label in the Bay Area. In 2004, by then known as, Tef Kaluminati recorded his first underground hit single ‘Get Down’ featuring Grammy nominated rapper Bone Crusher. By 2006, Tef was touring as an opener for Grammy nominated rapper Soulja Boy and in 2008 he toured over Canada as an opener for the Bad Boy South/Young Joc Tour. After releasing a number of albums and Eps, in 2012, Tef landed a distribution deal with Master P’s No Limit Records. Opening for major superstars like Jay Z, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, and Migos, to name a few, and music sales of over 400,000 copies sold independently, he began successful business ventures in fashion, technology & media, and film. His first role was in feature film ‘Heavy on The Block 2’. In 2020 Tef wrote and directed his first full featured film ‘Savage Genesis’. His movie got distribution on major streaming platforms such as Tubi, Amazon Prime, Apple TV and more. He Executive Produced the soundtrack for the movie with features from superstars Yo Gotti, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, and Bryson Tiller. Tef Kaluminoti is set to release his second album ‘R.E.A.L’ in 2021 along with his documentary and upcoming film ‘RealityVille’.
