Rebecca launched her wedding planning company, New Creations Weddings in 2009 after moving home to Seattle from Hawaii. She has been honored to become of the the top wedding planners in the Seattle area, specializing in Asian and Pacific Islander weddings. She has been a speaker on cultural wedding customs and traditions on several wedding networking organizations for ILEA, NACE, and on the wedding podcasts "From Ring to Veil" and "Get to Know Your Wedding Pro." She has also made several appearances on King 5's "New Day NW" doing everything from crafting to farm-to-table decor ideas, and Komo 4 News promoting her wedding show "Beyond the Dress Collective" in partnership with couture wedding gown designer Luly Yung, and the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. Rebecca also served as Chapter Director for Wedding Network Seattle for 2 years, and is now serving on the board for WIPA (Wedding International Professional Association) as their Director of Membership. She, along with her team of 3 additional Associate Wedding Planners are known for their bold designs, rich patterns, textures and color. Clients often say Rebecca and her team are approachable, responsive, and feel they have gained a friend through the wedding planning process. So much so that Rebecca often gets together with her past clients after the wedding for dinner, drinks, attending baby showers and still being an integral part of their lives. Recently, Rebecca and her husband fulfilled their dream of purchasing their own wedding venue, Twin Willow Gardens, based in Snohomish, WA. This property sits on 6 acres of lush garden land featuring a wooded ceremony area, beautiful Snohomish valley views, and gorgeous landscaping. This venue fits Rebecca's personality to a T. As an avid gardener, Rebecca is excited to put her touches on the property with adding in some of her favorite flowers such as peonies and dahlias. When not working, Rebecca spends much of her day hanging out with her animals- which include 2 gorgeous golden retrievers, Barley and Ginger, her 2 cats, Milo and Kinja, her 7 hens, helping manage 2 bee hives, and harvesting mason bees. She also very much enjoys redecorating indoor spaces on a consistent basis to make her home feel warm and inviting. Her favorite stores include Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, and Restoration Hardware.
