Hey there! Hey there! I'm Bex, a self-taught artist, illustrator and crazy dog lady from bonny Scotland. I've always had a burning passion for all things creative, and have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. That being said, it wasn't until I was at university, studying Philosophy, and International Energy Law and Policy, that I would start considering art seriously as a career. During my studies, I used painting and drawing as a way to relax, escaping the day-to-day stress of deadlines, assessments and exams. I spent my time painting into the wee hours, watching artists on Twitch and, eventually, began streaming myself. After receiving positive feedback from my streams, I was encouraged by my amazing community to offer commissions and began building up a portfolio of work. Since graduating, I have been fortunate enough to continue working as a freelance artist. I paint digitally and traditionally and share my process in YouTube videos and live streams. I love experimenting with vibrant colours, bold textured brushstrokes, and a variety of mediums. I specialise in pet portraiture and create meaningful, one-of-a-kind artwork for my clients. I began my YouTube channel in late 2020 and have thrust myself into the art community, I'm having a wonderful time networking, getting to know other artists and making videos. I am hoping to work with brands with a focus on painting, photography, printmaking, and art supplies. I would like to share detailed product and supply reviews with my audience on YouTube and my various other social media channels.
