Once upon a time I was a chef, for 24 years in fact. I have cooked for all ages and at all levels. Unfortunately due to a back injury, early onset arthritis, fibromyalgia and finding out at 42 I had Asperges and ADHD, I had to stop working professionally in the industry. What I did do instead was study hard and I am now a qualified herbalist, dietician and nutritionist. This channel is my journey to find my way back to the cook I once was and doing so in a way that is affordable, healthier and plant based, whilst encouraging my carnivore partner who struggles with new flavours and textures. I also work hard to make the most of what we have as our budget is tiny and everything has to go as far as it can and wastage is not an option. Part of my journey is our kitchen and medicine garden. We are working to be able to produce as much of our fruit and veg a year as possible, especially the more pricey produce so we don't have to do without. In my down time I game, it keeps me sane and I stream that gaming on Twitch. I play alot of survival games and all kinds of other random indie and retro games when the mood takes me.
