Brief history of the INDLONDLO ZULU DANCERS CULTURAL AND ART CENTRE:
INDLONDLO ZULU DANCERS is a Zulu traditional dance group specialises on entertainment for people of different groups. Our aim is to educate and uplift the talent on the youth through cultural dances, stage play, Art Centre or Cultural Village and acting and reinstall respect on the youth. We perform throughout South Africa in different ceremonies like government events, tourism, award ceremonies, private functions, etc… We have performed on the following big events:
We won Traditional Dance competition held at Stable Theatre in Durban in September in 2010.
Won a contract to dance for tourists at Ushaka Marine World in December in 2012 for 2012/2013 contract.
Winners of Sishayingoma Competition organised by the Playhouse Company in March 2013 at Wema Sports Ground in Durban.
Performed at in October 2013 ceremony at the University of KwaZulu-Natal Sport Awards Ceremony in 2013 in Edgewood, Pinetown.
Performed With Artists from Burundi, Senegal, Nigeria, India, Botswana and Lesotho in Gugu Dlamini Park in Durban during African Cup of Nations in South Africa, and welcoming teams, guests and officials at King Shaka International Airport from Africa in January 2013.
Pefromed for Special Olympics Awards held in City Hall, Pietermaritzburg in July 2014.
Performed in Department of Education event for Masijabule High School new building opening KwaSwayinane near Pietermaritzburg, on 18th August 2014.
Invited to perform at the 1000 Hills Community Helpers Heritage Day in Inchanga during Heritage month of September 2014.
Performed in Unilever South Africa management meeting in La Lucia, Durban in October in 2014.
Nominees for South African Traditional Music Achievements-SATMA Awards on 30th August 2014, and performed on the main event at the University of Hare, East London-Alice on 18 October 2014 where there was a special quest Dr Jesse Jackson from the USA.
Became 2nd runner of Ushaka Marine World Zulu Dance Competition Finals on the 30th November 2014.
Performed for passengers in Seabourn Sojourn Passenger Liner from New York, USA in Durban harbour on 14th January 2015.
Performed for passengers in a Cruise Liner, THE World
