Michael Copon started his entertainment journey in the year 2000. With his success in Hollywood, his career us taken him across the Globe. Born in Norfolk, Virginia Michael came from underprivileged world. Growing up in a low income family he dreamed of big success. His pencil and art pad was the beginning of his journey! He excelled in drawing and won a few art awards a child and since then Michael knew his imagination would take him places! He has had the same autograph since the 3rd grade and knew that one day he would be known for something big. He was inspired artistically from his entire family and has been entertaining since he first took hold of his mothers video camera at the age of 8 years old. "I love my job,” Michael says full of passion and energy, “Acting is not lying, it is living truthfully in an imaginary circumstance with a little bit of yourself in that truth.” Since his Step fathers suicide at the age of 12 michael realized how short life can be. From that day Michael chose to follow his dreams and is convinced that he will never give up! Michael started his acting career as the Blue Power Ranger on “Power Rangers Time Force” and simultaneously modeled in various print advertisements such as Tommy Hilfiger, PacSun, Levis, and Sketchers to name a few. Alongside modeling, he was featured in numerous national commercials for companies like Old Navy and AT&T. These opportunities kept him busy until he broke out on the hit tv show “One Tree Hill” as Felix Taggarro, the Latino bad boy. This show opened his doors to other lead roles like Penn in “Bring It On: In It To Win IT” and Mathayus in Scorpion King 2: Rise Of The Warrior” both from Universal Studios. He is commonly known for playing the lead singer Ricky, in the “Boyz ’N’ Motion” on Disney’s “Thats So Raven.” Michael is also recognized through his frequent guest star roles in “CSI Miami”, “Hawaii 5-0”, “Reno 911” , “Greek”, and “Scrubs”. Michael’s favorite actors are Johnny Depp, Daniel Day Lewis, Denzel Washington, and Leonardo DiCaprio, which inspires him to keep changing his roles and avoid being stereotyped. He brings fear to his audience in the “Night Of The Demons” remake and Lionsgate’s “Killer Holiday” co-produced by Michael himself, he taps into his painful past to play the serial killer “Melvin Holiday.” Acting isn’t all that Michael’s capable of doing. He is a singer who has toured with “Bruno Mars.” Also a philanthropist who fights to defend both bullying with his “I Am Me” Campaign and helps to support kids with autism and shaken baby syndrome. These concerns are dear to him because his adopted brother has a Traumatic brain injury. “Being on set I couldn’t help but figure out how movies are made” Michael says as he explains his journey to his hometown Norfolk, Virginia to Open up his very own film production studio “Michael Copon Studios LLC”. MCS has produced “Worth The Price” written and directed by Michael, created a tv show entitled “Dystopia,” and co-produced the film “Public Affairs,” where Michael stars alongside Adrian Grenier from “Entourage” and Mimi Rogers . Michael has acted in over 21 movies, 95 episodes of Television, and has Produced 6 projects. After 18 years in the industry, Michael has now teamed up with Some of Hollywood’s key players and is set to produce major projects with them. The entrepreneur that he is. Michael has also owned a popular Italian restaurant on Hollywood Blvd, had a clothing store business on Melrose, and has flipped properties in the real estate. Whether Michael is in the states, overseas, west coast or the east coast, there is one thing that stays constant with this actor, producer, and entrepreneur. He is definitely a force to be reckoned with.
