Hi! I'm Lani! My love of writing began as a former lifestyle writer for one of the Philippines' leading dailies -- pursued in part due to my aspirations of being the next Lois Lane. This stint was followed with writing assignments as part of the editorial team for a Japanese expat newspaper, and then to an entertainment magazine. After my first four years in media, I decided to take a leap into corporate where I dabble in branding, corporate communications, events management and public relations. I've been proudly doing this for the last fifteen years. In my spare time and as a form of escape from the stressful corporate world, I dabble in writing. I try to blog as much as I can through theMNL Lifestyle Chronicles, while also providing creative content to a number of local brands. Of course, writing remains my first love. I also love journaling, amassing a number of notebooks and diaries from the time I was young up till now. I've discovered fountain pen collecting lately (at the height of the pandemic outbreak in 2020), and now I worry that with my constant traveling (pre-COVID) and with my fixation with fountain pens -- I might as well say good-bye to my retirement fund.
