As the former managing editor of numerous technology, lifestyle and health publications, and having run an award-winning publishing and communications agency, my wife and I exchanged our city lives for wellies and sustainable, rural living. After a year-long house hunt, which took us 14,500 miles across the length and breadth of the UK, we found our ideal house, Home Farm, in the rural British countryside.
