Alaska has some extreme elements. Born and raised here in Southeast Alaska has given me an incredible love of the outdoors. However if you don't have the proper gear it can get really uncomfortable and not to mention life threatening really fast. In Petersburg, Alaska, during the entire year, the rain falls for 197.9 days. That can add up to over 100 inches of rain a year! On our small island of just over 3000 people there is no REI or huge outdoor gear store to try on, feel or even purchase. Thus my YouTube Channel was born to purchase all kinds of gear to try out in Southeast Alaska. We test everything from boots to leggings to dog backpacks. Anything I can get my hands on that an outdoor enthusiast would need.
