If I have to describe myself, I’d begin with my personality, but I know I live in a world based on aesthetics, so I’ll start with how do I look like. I’m Margherita Camilla Castelnuovo, I’m an half Italian and half Swiss girl. I’m 178 cm and I weigh 48 kg: I don’t have much curves, except for my spine since I suffer a bit of scoliosis and cifosis. I have light brown\dark blonde hair and light brown eyes. I live in Milan, in Italy, but my family lives between Zurich and Lugano, in Switzerland. I’m 21 years old and I study biomedical engineering at Politecnico di Milano. In high school I’ve done classical studies: ancient greek and latin. I always thought that culture is what you forget after studying, so I try to use my culture as much as I can. It’s important to have an opinion, based on an idea, but it’s also important never to judge other people. I really need to express my self: I’ve been taking pics as an hobby since I’m a child, but it’s about an year I’m enjoying beeing on the other side of the camera. On my Instagram profile, called la_[link-omitted], because Meg is my nickname and “la meglio” means “the best” in Italian, I share my lifestyle, what I wear and my thoughts. Sometimes I work as an independent model and I love to share my works as well. I’d love to help people beeing confident with their bodies: since I’m a bit underweight I don’t have much curves, but I have curves on my back since I suffered scoliosis. I’ve worked a lot on my self because of it, and I know most of times limits are just in our heads. I can also play the guitar and the piano, I’ve a huge passion for music: I think about it as a medicine.
I don’t think about fashion as purely aesthetics, I think it’s art and everybody has the possibility to show their own personality and creativity using what they’re wearing. I really like to express my feelings and emotions with colors on my clothes. I really am an emotional person and I’m enjoying guiding others threw my journey.
As a curious person I also love to travel, just because I need to know and understand the most of things I can. When I travel I wanna be in touch with the place I’m visiting, and, most of all, with the people who live there. When I come home after holidays I always try to remember the feelings I felt during the journey, and, since I have an Instagram account, I also love to share those feelings with my followers. When I learn something new, I wanna teach other people my experience.
I don’t want people to follow me because they wanna know what I’m doing every second of my life, I think my followers wanna know how I feel, ask my suggestions and find some inspirational thoughts, but also outfits and ideas on where to travel.
