Madlyn Hall

Pegged an "old soul" and born into an artistic family, MadLyn grew up singing along to the likes of legends, including: Barbara Streisand, Whitney Houston, and Ella Fitzgerald. When MadLyn lost her mother to breast cancer at just the tender age of thirteen, her passion for writing songs escalated, as it became her therapeutic form of expression, as well as an artistic outlet. This traumatic, yet transformative life event, shaped MadLyn heart-wrenching tone, and introspective style, still ever present in her music today.



After deferring her acceptance into the Berklee College of Music in Boston to study songwriting, MadLyn was cast in her first feature film, "Elena Undone," which premiered at Outfest in 2010. In addition to playing a supporting character in the movie, MadLyn wrote and recorded "Suddenly," an original song that was featured in the film and on its soundtrack. Years of honing skills have led her to write songs for other artists, perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live with Youngblood Hawke & Thirty Seconds to Mars, record vocals for the Thirty Seconds to Mars album, “LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS,” co-write with seasoned industry songwriters Billy Steinberg and Ken Hirsch, sign with Kari Kimmel’s licensing company ‘Glow Music Group,’ appear in a Gap holiday commercial singing background vocals for famed soul singer, Janelle Monáe, and sing on The Late Late Show with James Corden. In addition to on-camera acting, singing, performing, and songwriting, MadLyn’s speaking voice can be heard on many commercial voice over campaigns, for brands such as: Universal Studios, Kaiser Permanente, Pizza Hut, and SoCal Gas.



MadLyn’s original music combines moody pop vocals with alternative cinematic vibes. She has been releasing singles and corresponding music videos on YouTube since early 2015, which collectively, have surpassed 400k views, and found their way to radio charts. By the summer of 2015, Madlyn's single "Kiss Me Goodbye" made its way to #1 on the National Airplay Top 50 Independent Radio Chart, and soon after, reached its way to #10 on the National Airplay Top 50 Rock Chart. Following the success of her first two singles, MadLyn released a personal, special music video & song she wrote in her mother’s memory, “I Call Her Mom.” MadLyn made the choice before the song’s release on October 1st 2015, that for the entire month of October, 100% of all digital sales made from the song would be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. However, MadLyn's work with the NBCF began way before the campaign in October 2015. In early 2014, MadLyn created, hosted, & performed in the on-going breast cancer fundraising music event, The Siren Song, in association with The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). The Siren Song began as a bi-monthly residency at "The WitZend" in Venice Beach, CA featuring MadLyn and other up-and-coming singer songwriters in the LA area. Since its beginnings, it has expanded into other arenas, collaborating with other womens' arts groups holding benefit concerts at galleries, and college campuses, with sponsors such as: Sam's Club, Starbucks, Sam Ash, Trader Joe's, and many local businesses who have donated prizes for raffles.

MadLyn’s newest single ‘Chase the Moon’ is scheduled to release on October 15th 2019, and is her proudest work-of-art to date. A short film will follow in early December 2019. MadLyn can’t wait to share both the single and the visual art piece with the world.
