Hi! I’m Lynne!

Before I begin, let me start by saying that everything that I write on here are my own views and opinions.

I am a Marketing graduate and recently gained my Digital Marketing qualification. Social media has always been something of interest to me so I thought I’d use my skills and curiosity to good use and try my hand at website building and so, here we are! I have since decided to add blogger and podcaster to my list (I like to keep busy!)

I will share my experiences of what life is like when you are balancing work full time, motherhood, daily household duties, relationships with family and friends and at some point I’m hoping to find time to get back to the fitness levels I had before becoming a mum. I will be sharing the good, the bad and the ugly elements of my life! No stone will be left unturned! That’s a promise!

I pride myself on being a candid person. I decided to start The Swan Effect Mum as I wanted to see more honest mum accounts online, the ones that don’t have the perfect homes and the perfect families (which was making me feel utterly rubbish as a mum if I’m being honest). There is too much pressure on mums to have it all these days, which is completely impossible. Something has to give as although us mums are capable of spinning many plates at one time, we are not super human (hence why I’m unfit these days and my house is nowhere near a show house. But that’s ok, I’ve made my peace with that. My kids will be grown up before I know it and I can get fit and clean then.
