Mrs. Lychanda Brown is a Mississippi native raised in the rural town of Pinola, MS. She is a graduate of Mendenhall High School, JPS-Career Development Center, & Hinds Community College.

She has been in the beauty industry for over a decade. She began 14 years ago by launching a successful career as the owner of Shekinah Glory Hair Designs in Raymond, MS. It is an atmosphere that many call her ministry as her clients come faithfully to her “spinning pew” where they can get a kind word, smile, and new style.

With a quest to help others join the industry, Mrs. Brown is a cosmetology instructor at Hinds Community College where she also serves as District Chair and Curriculum Coordinator. She is a multi-state CEU/Methods of Teaching Provider, the founder of LyChanda Brown Educates/E4 Mentoring Society & Co-Founder of The Education Connection Team. Mrs. Brown is also a Board Certified Electric Nail File Instructor and Certified Lucas Products Safe Space Educator. She has an Associate’s Degree in Marketing and currently pursuing a bachelor’s in Business Administration.
She has shared her knowledge and expertise on platforms such as; Bronner Brothers International Hair Show, Hair Tour Expo, Kirk Pro Hair Artistry "Jam Session" and the list goes on.

Mrs. Brown is an advocate for continued education, standing on the belief that continued education is a major key to success. She says Ray Kroc said it best, “When you’re green, you’re growing. When you are ripe, you rot.” Leading by example, she continues to enhance her industry knowledge by hosting & attending trade shows, CEU classes, and seminars.

She is passionate about preserving the beauty industry and imparting into the lives of others. She measures her success as an educator by the success and accomplishments of her students.
She is a published author and her book is titled "Born for Purpose". Her ultimate mission and purpose in life are to "Educate, Empower & Encourage Excellence". For one plants, another waters but its God that gives increase. I Corinthians 3:6-7.
