Hello there! My name is Lisa Horn and I am a semi-retired female. I hold a diverse job field history and have opened many successful small businesses from childcare to property management, to healthcare, and more. I have many certifications in energy therapies and hold a degree in Business Management/Marketing. I became interested in ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) after recently retiring from my business in Energy Therapy. For one and a half (1 ½) years, I readily researched the biology and physiology of ASMR (because I am a scientist at heart). I self-educated myself on cinematography, filming equipment, and especially condensed microphones, as well as how to create a successful YouTube channel. And this is how “ASMR Portal” (my channel) emerged into the world of YouTube. I write my own scripts, set up staging, film, edit, and manage my channel all on my own. I have a 5-year plan in place for my YouTube channel and becoming an influencer is among my many goals. I am definitely a “go-getter”! VALUES Why do I do what I do? I enjoy helping individuals create some peace and calmness in their lives and giving them alternative avenues to battle anxiety, depression, stress, and sleep issues. Producing ASMR videos is also an outstanding outlet for me to use my high level of creative energy. I savor the challenge of selecting specific products, colors, lighting, trigger techniques, and camera angles to captivate my viewers’ attention, as well as creating catchy titles, enticing descriptions, and intriguing thumbnails. What sets my contribution to the market aside from the others? I am well experienced with types and styles of communication and I excel at interacting with all walks of life. ASMR is all about the senses and I take full advantage of the many descriptive adjectives used to verbally and visually define what a product is all about…using visuals and sounds, describing scents and taste; and visually and verbally describing the “feel” of an item. Why am I a worthwhile investment for your brand and products? Committed and focused on your company’s success (as well as my channel’s), I will enthusiastically follow through with your specifications for how you want your product marketed. The target market in the ASMR community varies widely, which means you will greatly increase your groups of potential customers by extending your reach to likely buyers. There are different styles and sub niches in ASMR from which to reach your target market and while most ASMRtists briefly promote products, I offer your company a range of 3-5 minute introduction to your product – to a full 20-30 minute video of interacting with and exploring your merchandise (it depends on the type of product you are seeking to promote). ASMR does not discriminate against products (also known as props) because any item can be used in an ASMR video to engage the viewer and create an effect. PERSONAL Who am I outside of work? I am a wife, a mother of 3 adult children, and grandmother to 7 grandchildren. I live in the open countryside in Texas, USA. I enjoy meticulously organizing things, arts & crafts, gardening (when we aren’t in a heat wave), travelling to unknown places, doing projects around the house, going on nature hikes, and cooking delicious foods. I like to fill in lazy days with researching alternative health practices and self-educating myself in any field of interest (which I have many). Oh, and I absolutely love anything ELVIS! What gets me up in the mornings? The one thing that gets me out of bed is knowing it is another day to be creative and that really excites me! “Every day is like a box of chocolates…you never know what you’re going to get” …and I welcome the anticipated element of surprise!
