Keith “Butta” Justice is a 4 time Grammy Nominated, Soul Train Award winning, Platinum selling music producer from Philadelphia. Growing up in Philly, Butta gravitated towards music very early. Sitting down at the piano and creating his own music came naturally to him and when his parents saw this, they set him up with classical and jazz piano lessons. He met his soon to be music production partner, Allen “Bizkit” Arthur in the jazz band at the High School for Creative and Performing Arts. During the last two years of high school, they discovered music production with no idea to how big a role it would be in their life. Their drive to master music production was so strong that they would locked themselves in their home studios for days at a time to sharpen their skills. By the time Butta was graduating from college, he had passed the 10,000 hour mark on the path to greatness. His production along with his team, the Phatboiz, caught the ear of John Legend, after he heard the music they had been creating. John offered them a joint venture publishing deal with Home School Entertainment and Cherrylane, currently BMG. That opportunity opened the door for them to collaborate with major artist like John Legend himself, Miguel, and Neyo. Their breakthough song was the theme for the hit movie Think Like A Man - John Legend’s “Tonight (Best You Ever Had)”. The record was Grammy nominated, won a Soul Train Award, and has gone multi-platinum. Shortly after that success, Butta and his team moved to LA. He continues to work on music with Bizkit as the production team, Butta-N-Bizkit (BNB). Amongst other notable credits BNB produced the title track “Let Love Rule” for Grammy nominated singer Ledisi. After collaborating on a project with rapper Suga Tounge Slim, Butta-N-Bizkit realized they could take their artistries to the forefront. They are currently working on Bizkit’s second solo project where Butta serves as co-producer and live musical director. They perform live under the marquee “Bizkit with Butta on the Keytar”. Butta loves music directing and performing live. He has musically directed for a variety of acts including Chrisette Michele and CL Smooth. One day while researching live performances, he noticed the keytar and knew that he could use it to take his live performances to the next level. With the ability to come from behind the boards and rock the stage, the keytar was a no-brainer. If having a wireless keytar setup wasn’t enough, he lights up the stage with LED lights illuminating from the keytar. And if you thought that was all Butta had to offer, think again. Butta is a Dj as well. Going under the marquee “Butta The DJ”, he has immersed himself in all of the hits through out time to curate custom playlist that have the party rocking all night.
