Karthik Marupeddi, who originally hails from India, currently lives in Fort Bend County, Texas, where he holds the position of Senior Software Engineer with The Integration Group of Americas (TIGA). TIGA is a prominent company that delivers systems integration and engineering solutions that improve reliability, efficiency, and safety across numerous industrial sectors. With over ten years of experience in the software industry, his expertise has significantly contributed to his team's success.
Marupeddi relocated to the United States fifteen years ago to pursue higher education. He completed his Master's degree, setting the foundation for his accomplished professional career.
Joining TIGA in 2019, Marupeddi has notably been involved in designing and developing IOps, specialized software enhancing the management of oil and gas assets by integrating with existing SCADA systems. IOps allows users the flexibility to operate assets efficiently from virtually any device or location. Furthermore, he developed a vertical within Messenger+, enabling customers to forecast scheduling, capacity, and location challenges by entering primary data. He employed his proficiency in open-source technologies such as Angular, Yarn, Typescript, HTML, CSS, and material design to develop robust graphical user interfaces.
Additionally, Marupeddi created user interface components designed to enhance application functionality, such as confirmation dialogs and notification alerts. He also developed a search model called Lookup, streamlining the development of multiple applications by enabling faster search functionalities.
After obtaining his Master's degree, Marupeddi began his professional career at Verizon Business in Richardson, Texas, as a Software Developer, where he worked for two years. His responsibilities included creating user interfaces with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, implementing functionalities using Ajax, Struts, and Hibernate, and managing XML data via XSLT. Additionally, he worked extensively on Verizon’s E-Bonding application, which facilitated interaction between Verizon and its business clients. He specialized in developing Java-based web services and transforming XML data for integration into business services.
Following Verizon, Marupeddi worked as a Java Developer at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare for three years. During this tenure, he contributed to applications such as IBES, e-Verify, SVES/SOLQI, and Idalink, each developed using agile methodologies. These applications played essential roles in eligibility determination for assistance programs, information gathering across departments, and streamlined renewal processes for state benefits.
Subsequently, Marupeddi joined ABB in Sugarland, Texas, as a Software Engineer for five years. There, he significantly contributed to the nMarket Suite, an integrated management platform that addresses transaction needs in the energy sector from bidding through dispatching, settlement, and detailed reporting.
Academically, Marupeddi holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Science Engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, complemented by a full scholarship and stipend. His undergraduate studies concluded with a Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
Marupeddi is married to Sravani Rampay, and they have two sons, Eeshan and Ayaan. Committed to community involvement, he regularly donates blood and contributes meals to a local Hindu temple. In his free time, he enjoys sports, particularly badminton, football, basketball, and cricket.
