Young Brooklyn actor Jose A Carrera known as JAC was born on January 16th in New York, to Jose Carrera and Evelyn Ferreira, Director and Producer for the short film Keep on Believing and Facts of Life Web-series on Youtube. Carrera stated he is half Dominican and Puertorican. He grew up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and is an only child. He attended Middle School MS. 577 and now he is attending a performing art school Brooklyn High School of the arts. Career In 2009, Carrera starred as a supporting role in a short film A Precious Life. He then had small roles for NYU student films where he landed his first lead role in a short film Bloody Mary. He then went on working on background to get the field of how big production works for popular TV shows like Gotham, Divorce, Orange is the New Black and much more. He continue working on shorts and also landed a spot being one of the first kids to represent the new channel Universal Kids. He has done several musical like Hairspray the musical Jr. playing the role of Link Larkin and others. Jac landed a lead role in a short film called Swinging into Action Directed by Joseph Guevara which has gotten him a nomination and win for Best Young Actor in a short film at the Young Entertainer award which was held April 7, 2019 at the Steven J. Ross Theater in the Warner Bros Studio Burbank, CA. He is currently working on a feature film call Bastion directed by Justin Kapr, as the supporting role the young version of Bastion, almost wrapping a short film called Homecoming Directed by Sam Motamedi and is rehearsing for a one day play performance call The Queen of Hearts this coming May 22, 2019. On April 20th 2019, Carrera was nominated for Best Performance in a short film at the Young Artist Award for his performance in Swinging Into Action, the award ceremony will take place this July in Hollywood California.
