Jamielee Brown

Hello, I'm Jamie! I have tried many things that I like but I am still on a path to becoming the better version of myself every day. I always got this popular question, "What are you passionate about?" Prior to college, I didn't have the answer but I was well on my way to find it.

I realized what a part of my passion and calling was about a year before walking the stage of the University of Technology, Jamaica with a bachelor’s degree in communications, specializing in Journalism. Having fun and living life was my mantra especially as a young “college kid”. Suddenly, reality hit, and I had to start focusing on my career and what I wanted to do post-graduation. I decided to try my hands at different things and so I began my podcast in my 3rd year of college along with my travel blog that was created on my love for exploring my beautiful island, Jamaica. I began traveling at the age of 19 and since then, I have become fascinated with all that it brings: new experiences, beautiful people, and various cultures. My appreciation for the simple but finer things in life has led me to ensure that I manifest and work towards such things for myself, whether it’s through my work, play, or livelihood.

I recently moved halfway across the world to teach English to students and I have never been happier. As Albert Schweitzer once said, “Success is not the key to happiness, happiness is the key to success. If you love what you’re doing, you will be successful.” I thought I had found my true purpose back in college, and maybe I did; at least it was the start of something inevitable, as I can proudly say that I’m where I want to be, I’m happy, and my success will be based on the happiness I bring to others through my work.
