Giffy Pluggo

Giffy Pluggo was born and raised on the southside of Chicago. He is the oldest of two brothers
who are also recording artists. He began rapping at the age of 16 and his first album came out
in 2007 entitled, “Its Time”. This album was produced by Spike Rebel. Spike Rebel is a noted
Chicago producer/singer that has worked with hip hop legends such as Big Pun and Lauryn Hill.
From there, Giffy Pluggo has worked with several local artists in Chicago and has dropped a few
projects that were released on Datpiff and other sites. In 2015, Giffy Pluggo took a break from
music and continued working with Chicago’s youth. In 2022, Giffy decided to do a meet and
greet with Benny the Butcher and rapped for him and his crew. Benny’s management team were
impressed with his lyrical prowess and delivery which led to Giffy Pluggo being invited out to
several performances.
Rejuvenated from that experience, Giffy decided to get back in the studio. He recorded and
released his first mixtape since his hiatus entitled, “Paid Leave” in February 2023. Many people
compared it to the authenticity, vulnerability and theme of Kanye West’s classic debut album,
entitled “College Dropout”. In 2023, Giffy released multiple singles from this mixtape that are
currently streaming on all platforms. In March 2023, Giffy Pluggo performed with Benny the
Butcher and the Black Soprano Family at the annual South by Southwest Festival. Giffy Pluggo
is now back better than ever, recharged and ready to pursue his dream. He has also done over a million views on Youtube and has obtained features from known artists. This includes: Benny the Butcher, Malik Yusef, Ayoo KD and many others.
