Beauty - it's a word that has driven me in all aspects of my life for many years. Why?? Because so much of my passion in life revolves around it. I'm Geneva, AKA GG, and am ready, willing, and able to take my passion for beauty to the next level. I first started dabbling in beauty over 20 years ago, when I got involved with selling Mary Kay. That was the first taste of makeup and skincare that lit a little spark in me. Back then, my children were very young (toddlers) and I didn't have much time to spend on myself. Playing in just a little makeup and a little pampering of my skin with some skincare, started to help me boost my confidence and made me beautiful again. I always got compliments on my skin and how I wore my makeup. And people would always ask me, "What are you wearing and where can I get it?" I never thought of myself as an influencer, especially back then, even though that was the beginning of it. Fast forward to 2019...I'm on social media and have been on it since 2009, but just for recreational purposes and keeping up with friends and family. I never saw it as a way to make money or become an influencer. I thought to myself, "Who would want to watch little ole me or be interested in what I have to say?" By this time my love for makeup and skincare had grown. I started getting beauty subscription boxes so I could test and try new products, and became hooked. Then, I started posting photos of my makeup looks to some of the Beauty Facebook groups I joined. I made a few amazing friends from this and they convinced me to do a live makeup tutorial. From there, my friends in the live tutorials told me that I was great on camera and I should start a YouTube channel. Creating my YouTube channel was the best decision I could have made! It has lead me to make so many amazing connections not only in the beauty space, but in life in general. I never imagined that I would get so much joy out of sharing what I love about beauty and makeup. It lead my to create my own Facebook page so that I can do live makeup tutorials on a regular basis. I've also started doing live tutorials on my YouTube channel. And now to have the opportunity to possibly earn money by talking about and using beauty products!! That would be fantastic!!! It would be a dream come true! Now I am proud to call myself an influencer and can't wait to work with brands who are making revolutionary products! I love trying and using new products, especially if it has great benefits or is going to help me manage my life a little better. I'm a busy working mom and wife with a full-time corporate career. So any items that are going to enhance my life and make things easier is a huge deal for me. If you haven't guessed by now, I'm a huge lover of makeup and skincare and get so excited for products that will help me feel and look my best. I pride myself on giving honest and reliable feedback. The opportunity to work with amazing brands would mean the world to me! Even though my following is small, it is of great quality with respectful patrons who trust my opinion. I will do the campaigns justice and you won't be disappointed.
