One of Canada’s largest small animal rescues, specializing in rats (that’s right, you heard me correctly). Rats are one of the most underrated, misunderstood, and mistreated animals, and it is my passion to work on changing that. Frankie’s World was founded in honour of Frankie, a very special rat who had a unique bond with her human that changed both of their lives, and now continues to change others lives through the rescue. We are where the misfits belong. We are half sanctuary and half rescue. We take in the unwanted, sick, elderly animals and give them everything they could ever want for as long as they have and they get the best care possible. As for the rescue portion, we take in hundreds of rats to provide them with refuge, rehabilitation, and rehoming. Our other focus is to educate on the proper care of rats, teach people more about them and why they are one of the best companions you could ever have, and enlighten other on how much we humans can learn from animals.
