I am a Mom, Chef, Entrepreneur, Dreamer. I am all about halaal food, good music & great experiences. Having traveled widely, I consider myself a citizen of the world in Johannesburg, South Africa. Join me on a culinary journey exploring global cuisines, meeting inspiring people, and creating delicious food for the people we love.

My late grandfather was a self-taught cook of note, and at a young age watching him cook, inspired the foodie in me. I believe the best memories of family and friends, begins around the kitchen table. I hope my recipes inspire you, tempt your tastebuds and bring you joy to cook, eat and share!

Whilst I am a chef now, I had a totally different starting point... My background is in PR & marketing in the broadcasting, film and entertainment industry. Over the past 15 years, I have worked for global brands in South Africa and the UK. These include Walt Disney International and the Disney Channel, Porshe, Virgin Management, Warner Bros, The London School of Business.

My experience in media has been extensive, I began in radio as a news anchor and morning show host on a community radio station in KZN in 1997. Thereafter, I was a news anchor for national radio station, Metro FM. I am also a voice over artist and MC, with presenting experience for both radio and television.
