Ellie’s passion for interiors began in the world of fashion. After graduating from Cornell University she enjoyed several years of internships in ready-to-wear and jewelry design, merchandising, and public relations, and finally forayed her love of all things beautiful into interior decor. It was a natural transition for her, as her husband’s business of residential home remodeling, Michael Robert Construction, began to grow. His clients would consistently ask Ellie for assistance choosing finishes for everything from countertops to door knobs, and eventually the furnishings that would fill their new homes. From here, a husband and wife design/build team grew. And from there, a boutique interior design firm. She takes pride in designing homes that feel authentic and personalized for her clientele in the community she loves, and feels fortunate that she and her husband can raise their two young boys in the town in which they grew up and fell in love.
