Hi! I’m Candice a 32 year old single mom of two children that is diagnosed with bipolar disorder & has a little over 7 years of continuous recovery from substance abuse disorder. I am a mental health advocate for adults & youth. I quite literally know what it’s like to grow up fantasizing ending their life because you just don’t value yourself. Why? Trauma. My trauma allowed my life to unfold the way it did and I did not have support. My family was in denial that I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder even, which led to my denial and suffering as well. I want to break the stigma surrounding mental health disorders and substance abuse disorder. My experience & story just might help someone along the way!
