Bud Rebel was born in Plainview NY on January 20th 1966. His mother, Sylvia Knietel was born in the Bronx NY. His father Seymour Weinfield was born in Brooklyn, NY. Rebel has a older sister named Karen and an older brother named Stuart. He grew up in Plainview NY. His father worked in various entrepreneurial pursuits including children's clothing business, contracting and eventually owning a building material business in the Bronx.
Mr. Rebel was the baby of the whole family including all his cousins and felt like he needed to draw attention. He attended John F. Kennedy High School where he participated in wrestling. He also had a flea market stand at Roosevelt Field.
His first acting role was in 2nd grade as Arnold Horshack in a Welcome Back Carter skit. He also earlier on played Howard Cosell in another school production.
